What to Pack for a Pakistan Festival Trip

"What should I pack for Pakistan" doesn't have one answer on this site, because a Shandur departure and a Basant departure are close to different climates entirely. Here's how to think about it by trip type.
Northern and mountain trips — Shandur, the Kalash festivals, Silk Route, Hunza Cherry Blossom, Chaumos — need a real layering system. Nights drop close to freezing even in summer at altitude, sun exposure is stronger than it looks at 3,000m+, and sturdy, broken-in footwear matters more than anything else in the bag.
Desert trips — Cholistan and Sarfaranga — run the opposite problem in the same day: strong sun and heat while the rally is on, then a sharp temperature drop once the sun goes down. Dust protection (a buff or light scarf) and more water than feels necessary are worth the small extra weight.
City and lowland trips — Basant, Lok Mela, the Lahore Horse & Cattle Show — are the lightest packing list on this site, but still call for one modest layer for rooftop visits and cultural sites, plus comfortable shoes for a full day on foot.
A few things belong in every bag regardless of festival: a universal adapter, small-denomination cash for local purchases, a printed or offline copy of your e-visa and passport page, and a modest layer for any shrine, valley, or cultural site — Destiny Skies flags exactly which of these apply on your specific pre-departure checklist.
