Lok Mela — National Folk Festival 2027
Every region of Pakistan in one place — crafts, music, and food from all four provinces plus Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Organized by Lok Virsa, Pakistan's national folk heritage institute, Lok Mela sets up dedicated pavilions for Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir — each with its own crafts, food, and nightly music program, plus a growing international pavilion.
For travelers who've come to Pakistan for one specific festival elsewhere on this site, Lok Mela works well as a bookend — a lower-key, single-city way to see the breadth of the country's regional traditions without the travel required to visit each region in person.
Islamabad itself is Pakistan's most consistently secure and developed city, making this the easiest festival on this site logistically — a good option to pair with arrival or departure days.
